    Hello Community,

So I’m François, I had 31 years full of weird adventures is a lot of different environments. The main ones being: Business, Tech, Self Help, Sport, Wellness/spirituality, and Art. I am full of optimism and have a can do attitude.

Do you have and idea that you just love? Do you feel like you need help in developing it? Help in defining the first actions to take? Or just brainstorm in freeflow state and see what comes of it?

Well Drop you idea here or private message we and let’s start making your dream come true.

Hello Francois, that is quite an offer, and for me it is a bit like coming out of my comfort zone to take on your invite.
But for the sake of trying to go where it is uncomfortable I’ll give it a go.

Please Brainstorm fleeflow with me on: where do you think my story to tell why I think a trauma informed society is important is welcome?

@ what places? Companies? Schools? Goverment, Insurance companies… etc… or…

Offcourse for me it would be great if I can have impact in organisations, health organisations etc but how do I get them to let me speak there?

I thought I answered but I’ll answer again I guess.

So I spot two questions 1 Where to tell the story of a trauma informed society 2 How to get into that network.

This is a boring answer but whatever it’s a basic one: I read diagonally your story and I feel (correct me if I’m wrong) that what you’re proposing is to change the whole basic functioning of society. Let me explain. I’ve been kicked out of an improv troupe because when talking about the trump election I said he was going to win because he listened to the disillusioned of the US society. I basically destroyed all of their arguments and was a realist. They named me depressing, downer, old fashioned etc. Basically. Humans like to be happy and have good feelings, So it results in this society where everybody wants to make everybody dream. Look at my success and happiness. How is you success and happiness? What a new car? GREAT! Let’s have positive emotions all the time. So when someone has a trauma is negative and a downer or whatever. Well they get shunned, fired, etc. So my short answer? EVERYWHERE! You should talk about it everywhere! I personally despise people who way too happy and sometimes condescending to people who can’t be or can’t succeed. (As in a few months ago, a friend of mine was raped, we were with new age people, let go of your hate and stress and be happy, I mean I know for a long time, it’s not so easy. Yet she was there with those new age people trying to feel good and from what I gathered it only made her feel worse that she couldn’t do it)

Anyway to answer the second question, depending on where you focus, because I don’t think you mastered teleportation and body multiplication (so you can’t be everywhere). I would ask where do you want to focus on? Depending on the answer, the strategy of question 2 will become clearer. Getting into conferences about wellness at work, will be different than going to talk to kids about trauma and well being.

This is a very first draft. Let me know whatever and we can build on that. peace

And can you brainstorm with me on:
    <b style=”font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;”>Why?

Think through their eyes, to such an extend that you know how they will benefit from your advice. Tell them what will change when they actually do what you ask them to do. And make sure you tell them in their words.

Here lies a huge opportunity to ‘plug’ your why with their longings, creating a very fruitful connection when done well.

Not sure if why my idea or you idea.I’ll answer both. Me? well I noticed a lot of people in this community are dreamers. I propose a little service called to earth. Without killing the dream, but actually linking heaven and earth or dream and reality if that makes sense

For you, I feel a trauma informed society could help connect people on deeper than just small talk conversation around the new game of thrones episode or making fun of trump… I mean, Since i’m brutally honest about both my failures and successes, I notice that people connect with me more deeply.

Let me know if that answers the why question

And can you brainwave with me on this one al well? Thanks in advanced

Get the affirmative train going (Yes!)

Let them feel that you understand them, by naming their concerns and desires. This will make it easier for them to do what you’d like them to do. Say things people implicitly affirm while you say it.

    Like these:

    <ul type=”disc”>

  • You are having all kind of relationships, as a colleague of friend, daughter son, neighbor, husband, wife and so on.
  • That you are reading this post and listening about the need to be understood en understand means you want to learn how to have a certain impact.
  • Possibly you began making a commitment to that.
  • You are curious what else you will find here about learning how to get there.
  • And you would like to know what your personal impact is to understand the other person and be understood by others

Hi François, I’m glad to hear you are a doer and it is easy for you to execute constantly what you have set your mind to. My main difficulty has always been the repetition, the habit builder, in every domain I ever had a dream. For instance, I learnt to break down the dream into actionable steps, but somehow I lose myself on the way, not being able to sustain the effort on a longer period. How do you do it? Any tips on this fading willpower which never transformed into a habit?

I though i answered but It didn’t register my response so here is my second try.

So I would definitely like some explanations about the words “losing myself on the way”? What do you mean? What are similarities between diffferent times you lost the way? Can you give a concrete example?

Personnally I have a whiteboard at home where on the left I have my long term goals and on the right I have the next action (all on post its.) Whenever I succeed one, I scratch them and place paste them under the whiteboard to see my achievements (it gives good feelings to look at them and feel like a success machine and keep those dreadful “I’m a useless failure” feelings away)

Important is that on the right the actions are as easy as possible. I noticed you wrote effort. I like the taoist philosophy of wei wu wei Doing without doing or effortless action. I know that if I force myself to do something, I will hate it. so my remedy is to simplify.

the analogy being place a brick a day and in a hundred years you’ll have a pyramid. I don’t think I ever work more than one hour on any project per day. (except the book I’m writing)

So yeah where do you lose you way? How? depending on your answers we can devise an action plan
