Hello I’m Rey. I have always felt being left out from time to time among my family and friends. Being an odd one out from everything surrounded by you, I always had a sense of insecurity for others opinions on everything I do. There are also time when I have felt such with my parents too.
I find it difficult to explain myself, or just that I’m tried of explain my actions at every instance. I accepted that I’m weird and don’t belong among others.
But as I grew up the thinking of mine of being the weird one Changed and I understood that I’m not weird or wrong for not accepting the way things works or to have different mindset that the ones I’m surrounded with.
I am really glad to be part of a community with the people like me. I hope to get along with y’all well.

I gradually learned to appreciate more and more nature and get connected with nature. For me we are part of it and not stand above it. I have a profound respect for the wisdom of native people. They understood so much, they had wisdom not knowledge. I am just at the beginning of this journey, so it feels for me. But like everything, you need time to get the things internalized, to learn, to experience. That is not the quick fix we nowadays are so used to.
So slowing down, taking time to listen, to listen to yourself, to what nature has to tell you. That is something I would like to share more and more with people around me. Although I feel quite lonesome in this area. We are in our society so used to the “performing”, achieving results, targets, … competition. Everything has to have a goal.
So I hope to learn and connect here with people who are also searching, asking questions, taking time to listen. Profound listening is so worthwhile.
I started an own project called Boslucht, i am a guide taking people into the forest for a forest bath. And as with yoga, forest bathing as many ways, many approaches. I go for the more spiritual path, listening again to your own intuition. Something we never learned at school, on the contrary, ratio is the big thing. Senses, intuition, awareness … are put aside. Coming back to that essence and sharing this with others is my purpose.

I am here through frustration with systems and processes which continue to oppress the Aboriginal population in Australia. We have the highest rate of suicide (9 times higher than non-indigenous) in the nation, we are incarcerated at a higher rate (85% of our youth) than non-indigenous people, our children are continually removed (stolen through systems and policies) from our families (now at 10% in out of home care) and yet we are 3% of the whole population of Australia. Our Country was stolen, our wages were stolen, our children were stolen we have been traumatised and yet nothing has changed for over 100 years. I want to be able to change our systems and processes to have respect and encourage people to listen to us as a people before it is too late.
My thinking aligns with the many Elders and community members yet we are small in a government system which is so big.

Hi everyone, I am so happy to be a part of your big community. How can I start describing myself? Well, I was brought up in a thrilled family with high standards at the same time. I was given a diverse and good education. I used to dance ballet, play music, speak several languages—studied economy and later public administration. I have contributed to major reforms in my country, and I am proud of it! I what to be a mediator between light and knowledge and the seekers. I what to establish a development and cultural centre.
I want to establish the centre to facilitate access to skills and knowledge that can make us, humans, more mindful, smart and spiritual at the same time.

My name is Karlo. I live in London, where I observe people and the world around me. Then I write. By learning to appreciate every single aspect of life, I have learnt to see a story everywhere. I write about different topics, but recently I have been focused on how the pandemic has changed the system, societies and individuals. I believe the world is at a turning point, the old system is dying, and the new one is being born. Living in London gives me a beautiful opportunity to stay on the edge of the change because it seems the UK is, as always, the epicentre of changes. There is plenty to write about. There is also some mention of football in my work because I believe football mirrors changes happening in society. Also, my work contains a lot of philosophy and abstract thinking, but through football, I can explain my ideas more fluently.
Here is the link to my blog:
Recently I had an interview with Minke where we came across a topic of balance. THE balance! The balance between ego and oneness, between doing and being, or as Minke states, ‘the balance between results and reflection’.
She added some elements to the discussion I was not aware of and that is ultimately what brings me here – understanding more about that holy topic and seeing how other people in this community reflect on it.

A year ago I stubbled across Minke on social media. At that time I was doing my best to collect as many meditation tools as possible for my self.
Philosophical practice and meditation has helped me much. And I am happy to share with you that it made me..
Value time spent with myself
Believe in faith
First now i connect with this community and I like what I read from all off you.
My profession is cooking. And yes I’m still doing that regardless of the pandemic but on a lower level at the moment. Talking about food is the base off my comfort zone for the reason that have never been as passionate about something before. But to be honest, I feel misplaced right now and as the hospitality industry is starting to roll again I feel rushed in getting back to the life that i wanted before and during this pandemic, cooking with greater and greater chefs. At least that is what I think I want. I hope that this rushing feeling is appearing to make me grow in my profession. I have always felt that I am meant to collect wisdom and pass it on too.
I am interested in history and food culture as well so if anyone likes to share something I’d be happy to read/listen
Reflecting fellt nice!
Have a good one 😊

Hi! My name is Maaike Wind. I’m not really sure what I am doing here. However, I feel intrigued. Without realising it most of the time, I’ve always sort of toned down myself in life. As if my true self is too much. Something I should dim before showing it to the world. Nonsense, obviously. I see that now. I guess I’m hoping to find some kindred spirits here.

A warm welcome to the BSC Maaike, it is nice to have a new and curious soul in the community. We look forward to getting to know your true self soon, and no, we will not think it will be too much!
And, indeed I am positive you’ll find some kindred spirits here, who are willing to connect with you.
Looking forward to meeting you soon, maybe you’ll join the event of today on “how to write a book”?
It will be a great opportunity to start to connect with the community!

I like how you describe why you seem to not fully express who you really are because it might be to big. I have felt (and sometimes still feel) the same. For me it really helped to surround myself with people who would not judge me and support me. Some people just don’t understand or cannot relate to whatever your story is (about to become). Ofcourse I have no idea if this is similar to your story, but I just felt the desire to share thi

wandering through this community and reading some posts, makes me even more curious than normal. Living in Drenthe, NL, I spend my time being a (foster/grand)dad and a working life in Food technology (mostly dairy). Hello, Minke – thanks for encouraging me (and everyone) to join this intriguing and welcoming group. I’m British, but now live in a remote Carpathian village in Transylvania (Romania) with four cats (and visiting dogs, sheep, horses and cows). I was born and bred in rural south-eastern England, then lived in London and Liverpool for 30 years before turning my back on cities and moving back to rural life. Here in the Carpathians life is still rather like West Sussex of the 1960s, but change is happening very fast I have been here for 11 years and being able to observe nature from my window has given me a new perspective – as has just being in eastern Europe. Looking back at the UK from this distance has been very thought-provoking. My background is in the arts, mostly theatre and opera; I scrape a living as a writer of nonfiction and children’s fiction, and have too many ideas for books to ever get them all written. I should have gone to university but didn’t, and have had no career as such, just a haphazard lurch through life, without great success beyond survival and being around interesting people. Out of the resulting soup come ideas and thoughts which would be fun to share with more intelligent and better-educated people.
